One third of the shooting fee will be required to be paid by the Client to confirm the booking and reserve the date/time slot, and the remainder is due and payable at the completion of the shoot. RatesShooting FeeShooting time is billed at the rate of $85/hr, minimum 1 hour, in 15 minute increments thereafter. A mileage charge of $0.40/mile traveled plus any applicable tolls will be incurred for shoots more than 20 miles from Vacaville, California. Any additional assistants or equipment rental required by special circumstances will be billed in addition to the base shooting rate, and will be specified before the shoot. A minimum of 1/3 of the shooting fee (hourly rate x estimated hours + estimated mileage + additional equipment rental costs if applicable) is required to be paid as a non-refundable retainer at the time of booking in order to reserve the date/time of the shoot. If a shoot needs to be rescheduled for any reason, no fees or penalties will be charged as long as it is rescheduled at least one week prior to the date of the shoot and there is an alternate mutually acceptable date/time slot available. If a shoot is canceled for any reason, the retainer is forfeited. ProofsThe shooting fee includes a set of watermarked proofs of all images shot delivered on CD or posted online. Prints and image files may be ordered directly from the CD or online gallery. Printed B&W 4x6 proofs (watermarked with image number) are available at an additional charge of $0.50 per image. Watermarked color proofs are also available for $0.75 each. Color Correction/RetouchingBasic color correction is included in the cost of prints and digital files unless specified otherwise in advance. Retouching and major editing (blemish removal, compositing multiple images together, etc.) will be billed at $40/hr in 15-minute increments for actual time spent. An estimate of the cost of such services will be provided in advance, and notice will be given to the Client prior to deviating materially from the estimate. Graphic & Web DesignGraphic and web design work is also billed at $40/hr in 15-minute increments for actual time spent. A minimum of one-third of the estimated invoice amount is due up-front, and the remaining amount is due upon completion/delivery of the job. PaymentPayment of the shooting fee is due at the time of the shoot, except for event coverage (weddings, etc.) which is due in full no later than 7 days prior to the event. Any payments made at the time of booking will be credited toward the total shooting fee, and any remaining balance must be paid upon completion of the shoot. Payment for prints or files are due upon delivery. Acceptable forms of payment include cash, Paypal, or personal/business checks if approved in advance. Debit/Credit card payments can be accepted through PayPal. Term And ConditionsUnless otherwise agreed, all images are copyrighted and the intellectual property of Visual Vacations Photography. Purchased images delivered in any digital image format (JPEG, TIFF, PDF, DNG, etc.) may be used by the Client for any reasonable purpose that is not illegal or defamatory or libelous to Visual Vacations Photography, such as web site graphics, advertisements, flyers, banners, product packaging, and other printed materials without any limitations with regard to number of copies printed. However, prints purchased from Visual Vacations Photography may not be copied or duplicated in any manner whatsoever. Proof images (which are watermarked with a copyright notice) may be duplicated for the sole purpose of evaluating and selecting images for purchase, and may not be printed. Visual Vacations Photography reserves the right to use images created on behalf of any Client to advertise and promote the photographic services of Visual Vacations Photography including online image portfolios, posters, business cards, and other printed materials without compensation to the Client. However, such images will not be delivered to any other Client or third party without the Client's written permission. |
